When Austin Curry, Travis Hearne, and Cannon Hearne of Tampa, Florida came together to form Keilah, it was the end of a search and the beginning of a journey. Each had found a deep, enduring love of Christ and had been blessed with musical talent and a calling to tell, through song, the story of God’s magnificent love and gift of salvation. Travis and Austin began working together to hone each other’s musical and lyrical compositions while Cannon developed the unique percussion style of the group. With their tight vocal harmonies, sophisticated lyrics, intricate musicianship, and signature percussion sound, Keilah won the Gospel Music Association Song of the Year Award. Keilah has shared the stage with Ashley Cleveland, opened for the Burns Sisters, played at major music festivals including Cornerstone, McDonald’s Gospel Fest, GMA in the Rockies, Stringbreak and Riverhawk, and performed and led worship for numerous youth groups and congregations throughout Florida. While Keilah’s music has a universal appeal to a broad range of people, Keilah has a special calling to minister to the today’s young adults. Their music opens the hearts of the hopeless to the possibility of hope, extends comfort to the hurting, and offers reassurance to the doubting.
