Members are: Mike Russell (guitar), Jeremiah Waldo (bass), Tony Droke (guitar and vocals), Jarad Rogers (drums).
It all started in a cramped, poorly ventillated room above a hair salon in Bristol, Tennessee. Tony Droke and Jarad Rogers began a humble quest to create and explore some loud, home-grown rock music. Droke had come from playing guitar in many local acts throughout the past ten years, such as: Punchin' Judy, Wormwood Earth and stoner-rockers Solar Seven. Rogers met Droke in the same local music scene while playing with The Haints and The Edibles.
Not long after they had begun writing, the pair recruited the talented Mike Russell on guitar and long-time buddy Jesse Hawk on Bass. It was a perfect match. Russell had been playing locally with metal bands "The Unspeakable" and "Five Unlucky City Kids". Hawk, who had been a guitar player for years, honored the band by picking up bass duties. Immediately the four began writing solid material. Even though the four had never played music together before, they had all either been or become good friends over the years and their friendship proved to be a valuable asset in creating Fire Face.
In the Winter of 2004, Fire Face entered Sonic Designs Studios with Mike Stephenson at the helm. They recorded their first demo which consisted of four songs. The demo effectively showcased the band's versatility in song writing with songs "Subtraction", "Cast the Stone", "As We Go" and "It's Over". Droke, who had never sung for a band before, decided to step up to the challenge. The result was a good mix of emotion and heart-felt rawk. After completion of the Demo, Fire Face had a great response opening for local bands in Northeast Tennessee. Two months later, the band re-entered the studio to record three more tracks: "Downer", "Empty Circle" and "Resurrection". The four experimented with the heavy drone of "Empty Circle" by featuring Guest vocalist Pat Carter from Omega Tribe and a fiery solo finale from guitarist Jeremy Fannon, formerly of Wormwod Earth. Currently, Fire Face continue writing new material and playing live opening for many local acts.
