Baleen began in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with founding members Phil Disher and Mike Vagianos. They released their full length CD, "Personality Plus", while residing in Chapel Hill. They moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and added Steve McMillan and Tony McCullough to the band. In Charlotte, they released two full length CD's, "Soundtrack to a Normal LIfe" and "Follow Me Blind" Baleen is now settled in Atlanta and has a new EP out with three new sonds. They maintain a vigorous touring schedule and are constantly writing and recording. A second EP of five more songs is due out this summer.

featured in the indie movie, "Firecracker", starring Mike Patton
(Faith No More, Mr. Bungle) and Karen Black (Easy Rider, House of 1000 Corpses).
♦Several songs from "Soundtrack" are used in TV shows at NBC,
ABC Family, Discovery Channel, VH1, and MTV.
♦"Unmedicated" from "Soundtrakt" was selected to be
part of the playlist at the Molson Center in Montreal, Canada.
